Hmm.. I guess I got my wish from last year? I remember missing Chinese so much and hearing it around me sometimes, made me wish I could actually talk to someone in Chinese... crazy? ^ ^; But now that I've got my small intro to using pinyin(sp?), I can talk with one of my friends online in Chinese. He can actually type out the characters, which would be better for me in practice, really. I should figure out if my laptop has the ability to type in Chinese characters.. I think my old one did, but then, I didn't use it much cuz I didn't know what keys were for which 'letter' of the alphabet (still don't)... oh well, main point - it makes me happy to be able to use a language I know instead of letting it 'go to waste' >.<
Oh! I had my 'first' Chinese test on Tuesday. Also, my first time writing a composition all in Chinese characters. We were doing a chapter on dorms and apartments and I had to write at least 100(?) characters on the good and the bad parts about where I lived, haha~

My real birthday was interesting (not to mention the dim sum party the weekend before~). It started in the late hours of the night, pretty close to midnight (on the 5th) I was just laying/lying(??) on my bed, listening to some HY music, trying to finish the long reading homework for the IR class (which I never finished...) when my RA Dallas comes at the door saying she needs to talk to me about something....
So then I walk out.. to see a bunch of mini cupcakes on a plate, lit with candles and my suitemates and Aisling standing around singing Happy Birthday to me! >.< I didn't realize it before, but they rushed me into making a wish ( I never made.. sh.. XD; ) and blowing out the candles so we wouldn't set off the smoke detector/fire alarm. That led us to a rather interesting story of one of my suitemates Andrea(sp?) who actually slept through a real fire alarm in a hotel and only woke up when she realized she was wet from the sprinklers. It was scary.. o.o Then we started chatting about random things; I listened and read the construction paper birthday card they made for me >w< It's really cute and made me smile, I'll have to scan it sometime and post it somewhere (the same thing with Steph's card too, XD; ) They also got me a birthday balloon and , it was most likely unintentional but the weight thingy for the balloon was a butterfly, I found that incredibly amusing, haha~
After that, I ended up putting off my reading homework to help Aisling with her Chinese homework~ XD She's learning through simplified and her current books didn't have traditional in it too, so sometimes it took us a while to understand some parts. XD;
Something that I was thinking about while all this was going on - I definitely like this suite more than last year. They just seem more... actively friendly, I guess. At first, coming to dorms, I didn't really feel like getting into a big party mode (still don't..) but the I (maybe selfishly?) like how people here are making the effort (haha..) to be friendly to me. It could also be that more than half my suite has some kind of Chinese background, but I'll just say that I like the people this year more than last. XD
Hmm.. but it could also be because I don't really interact much with people my own age/year/grade/whatever as much as with people who are younger.. This goes as sort of an incomplete thought since I wrote this about two days before I started typing this up. The sentence before this one begins present time.. (at least, while I'm typing..) Meh.. I guess that's all... My walls of text just don't feel like coming out much anymore. XD
Oh! I finally finished the Twilight trilogy yesterday~ Yay vampires! XD

Now who'd've thought that my first job would be in an office. x.x I can't believe people actually work like this for so much of their lives [/exaggeration] Even someone like me (read that however you like) could barely stand an 8-hour workday in an insurance office.. doing.. office stuff.. @.@ And Argh!! Architecture follows me everywhere! still! TwT The guy probably didn't even know I was in architecture for a little bit, but yes, the work I did today involved some architecture.... and it was pretty frustrating work too. @.@" And I still have to relive the torture for about two more weeks. I guess the good thing about this is I'm getting $8 an hour (if I speed up in the work...). And *sigh* I have to wear 'nice' shoes for work.. good thing Fridays are casual wear days though~ I'm so used to wearing sneakers/athletic shoes it feels weird to wear something else..
I know there are things I should be grateful from this. For one, I'm getting paid to help out at the office. (I had originally just offered to 'help out' since I thought I wouldn't be doing much in the summer) Second, other people have to go looking for jobs. My mom offered this job to me, from her boss. Even if I wasn't looking into this kind of work, I should be considering myself lucky. And finally, work experience. I think it'd be kind of weird though, if say, I wanted to apply to a gallery or something, and for work experience I mention a brief couple weeks of working in an insurance company (with data entry(?)).. @.@
Ooh, more news about the summer. Apparently, my mom has signed my sister and me up for a "Fun Camp" in Taiwan. *dreaddread* =.= I forget the time period of this 'camp', but my mother refuses to tell me who told her about the thing in the first place.. or where this camp is taking place.. or what the flip we'll be doing at this camp. One other small thing that she told me, besides the dates, was that it's for people of ages 14-19? I already have a bad feeling about this.. TwT I was just hoping to be able to walk around on my own when I'm in Taiwan.. not to be shoved into some environment where I know I'd feel uncomfortable. Oh yes, my mom also claims that there will be lots of other people who speak English, but I keep feeling that there will be some sort of language barrier happening over there...... I DON'T WANT TO GO!! TTwTT
*sigh*
.. can't wait to just go to Japan and take pictures of lots of stuff....

.. This is the third day in a row that I've had a bloody nose.. and this is the second time today. x.x
Why am I having a bloody nose all the time?? I thought it was just a cough and runny nose.. TwT
Thankfully, they don't last very long, but there was a lot of blood loss in the last one, it kinda scared me.. @.@
((Random: well, now I know what Kagrra looks like. Kind of different from what I expected, truthfully, but still interesting. ^ ^))

I never knew baths could be so relaxing~ XD; I haven't had a nice soaking bath for a while.. just showers with broken showerheads. >.<; Finally going to see a doctor tomorrow about my cough.. which has now developed into horrible (but less frequent) coughs with stuffy runny nose ALL THE TIME. TwT I really couldn't take it anymore.. my nose was killing me the whole day.. At my history final at 2 in the afternoon, I just decided to screw it and turn it in... *sigh* I probably could have studied more.. more things probably would have stuck better.. but now it's passed.. and I really regret not having changed the class to pass/fail.. TwT" What happens if you've declared a major and you're not allowed to get anything below C's, but then you get a D in a class?? x.x
I really should be sleeping now, but I'll go soon, I promise! Right now is already pretty early for me anyway.. >.> Though I should hurry and get better, otherwise steph might get mad at me during the weekend when I have to put off the playtime... DX;;;;;
Hmm.. stuff to do by the end of this week..

Oh, I told my mom about the waiting in line thing for j.rev, and she said people are crazy~ XD;
But I think she'll let me do it. ^ ^
Japan in the summer is now being seriously considered~~ >w< Osaka is a main place being considered and I suggested the shrines at either Ise or Izumo (both?) Anywhere else people would recommend? I'm mostly in it for the sight-seeing though.. >w> Oh and Kyoto was another main place being considered~
Hm. I guess that's it. I can't believe I used to write so much more not too long ago.. @.@

I know I really shouldn't have (since I'm supposed to be preparing for finals) but I just finished akihabara@deep~! ^o^ I watched the first half last night after coming home from school, and now I finished the rest of it~~ The ending (close to) was so sad, I cried at many of the parts. TwT It's funny how you can get so attached to characters in such a random funny series. >w< Haa~ I think I might watch it all over again sometime~ Though maybe I should watch it from something else.. when I bought the dvds, I didn't realize the subtitles were in simplified chinese.. or, apparently the dvd box says "cantonese" subtitles.. @.@"
Hm. So, last night was also the first time in.. I think it said three-hundred-something days that I turned on my old ibm laptop. Still love the mouse (XD) but I realized the buttons were a bit small, since I've been so used to this vaio one (when I first saw this, I hated how it had such huge buttons.. =.=) But at least now, I appreciate the vaio's wide screen. @.@ I also noticed that all the icons and stuff on the ibm seemed so big, but that might be because of the screen shape? And then... even now, I hate how loud it is to type on this laptop. =.= This was another reason I didn't take much of a liking to this laptop when I first saw it..
x.x.. Well.. onto another subject... like.... .. x.x;
I feel like making my own backpack accessories.. @.@ .. buttons, patches, keychains.. I wish I knew how.. and I know that I'd really really get into it if I ever learn.. >.>
*sigh*.. can't wait for the summer~~~

So weird... last night.. I dreamt of Ancafe. @.@ Specifically of Kanon and Bou. I remember a part when Steph and I were walking up some stairs with(?) Kanon and Bou, and they just started taking pictures of/with us (I don't even remember why..) Hmm.. yeah.. that's about all I remember.. And after waking up, but going back to sleep again.. I had another dream that made me remember I dreamt it, but I couldn't remember what the dream was made of... I think there were some people from my elementary/middle school in it.. though I'm not sure if we were older, or if it was during elementary/middle school.. *sigh* I've been having a lot of dreams recently.. and they've been making me wake up late/go back to sleep. TwT
Short entry for today.. who knows, maybe I'll come back and add some more.. >.>;
I want the summer to come faster~~ TwT;;
((Ah. I should probably go look for some more Jrock.. I guess to get ready for the festival.. >.>))
---
I'm back XD;
I could have said this before, but anyway, I love Ayabie - Meefisshu no uta... >o< I think I heard it in Steph's car once? and I liked it when I heard it, I thought it was really pretty~ >w< But now I know the name, and have it on my laptop, soon to go into my mp3. XD I will definitely have to somehow search for some Ayabie cds when I go to Taiwan~ and just a place to buy Jrock music in general.. *sigh*
On another subject.. my mom keeps asking me if I want to go to Japan @.@ Of course, I say yeah; then she goes on to ask where.. x.x But the main point is that Japan is being considered this summer? o.o My camera will definitely be having some action if we do go. But knowing me, the camera will be having some action whenever I'm going on a trip somewhere, I just have to remember to bring enough batteries. XD;;
*sigh* Grrr... I still have that stupid Japanese history paper to do.. STILL. But I have no idea what else to write.. it's already pretty bad.. =.= I just want to turn it in and get it over with.. but, I can't do that.. not until I get some more pages in.. (Pages full of useless crap that doesn't even make sense.. )TwT;;
